EduCog Assessments provides educational and cognitive assessments for children and young people who may be experiencing difficulties with learning. The aim is to help parents and teachers better understand a learner’s strengths, needs, and the support that may help them make progress with confidence.
EduCog Assessments was established to provide high-quality, affordable assessments that support children and young people to better understand how they learn.
With experience as a school-based Learning Support Coordinator and private Educational and Cognitive Assessor, I bring both professional expertise and practical understanding of school-based learning needs. My approach is personalised, thoughtful, and focused on providing clear information that can make a meaningful difference for learners, families, and educators.
Each assessment is designed to build a clearer picture of how a learner is thinking, processing information, and managing the demands of school, so that appropriate support can be put in place.
EduCog Assessments Supports:
parents seeking answers about their child’s learning
teachers wanting a clearer understanding of a student’s needs
schools looking for assessment information to guide support planning
children and young people who would benefit from a better understanding of how they learn
Educational and cognitive assessments can be valuable when a child or young person is finding learning difficult, making slower than expected progress, or needing more support than is currently in place.
These assessments can help to:
identify a learner’s strengths and areas of difficulty
better understand why learning may be challenging
guide support strategies for home and school
provide practical recommendations for teachers and whānau
support a learner's confidence through a clearer understanding of their learning needs
Assessments are suitable for children and young people who may be experiencing difficulties in areas such as reading, writing, mathematics, memory, processing, or general learning progress.
The goal is not only to identify challenges, but also to recognise strengths and provide useful next steps that support each learner’s development.
If you are concerned about a child or young person’s learning, you are welcome to get in touch.
